Life skills program
The First Tee of Battle Creek Life Skills Experience is divided into four certification levels, starting with PLAYer for new participants ages 7 and up, progressing up through the Par, Birdie and Eagle levels. Participants certify in both Golf Skills and Life Skills at each level so they may progress to the next level of the program.
Each level of the Life Skills Experience is seamlessly incorporating Life Skills, Golf Skills, and The First Tee Nine Core Values into each lesson.

calhoun county junior tour
The Calhoun County Junior Tour will promote the growth of the player’s golf ability and appreciation of the game by offering competitive play against their peers and playing the region’s finest courses. At the top division, ages 16 -18, golfers will compete in a season long, cumulative scoring format, for The CALHOUN CUP. At the end of the season, the top scoring boy and the top scoring girl will have their names placed on the 2 foot tall silver trophy and will be our inaugural winner!
The Tour starts in mid-June and concludes early in August. There are 9 events in this years tour, all of which take place Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday mornings.
The First Tee Junior LEague
This league is for players of ALL skill levels (ages 10 – 18) who are looking to get out onto the course and play golf with their peers. There is no league commitment or registration fee for our league. It is a drop-in league, meaning that players may come to any days that they are able to make it. We play on Thursdays starting the end of June at Binder Park Golf Course. For more info, click below.

PRACTICE WITH A PRO
If you have a true interest and desire for improving your golf game, join our PGA Tour Member, Coach John Morse, for this one of a kind learning opportunity that will teach you how to Practice like a Pro! Coach Morse’s objective is to help young golfers to independently develop their golf training techniques. This is a great opportunity for players to lay their golf foundation and tap into their true potential and work towards personal outcomes and performance goals.

PGA Junior League Golf
PGA Junior League Golf is a fun, social and inclusive opportunity for boys and girls, ages 13 and under, to learn and enjoy the game of golf from PGA and LPGA Professionals. Like many other recreational youth sports, participants wear numbered jerseys and play on teams with friends.

drive, chip, & putt
By tapping the creative and competitive spirit of girls and boys ages 7-15, the Drive, Chip and Putt Championship provides aspiring junior golfers an opportunity to play with their peers in qualifiers around the country. Participants who advance through local, sub-regional and regional qualifying in each age/gender category earn a place in the National Finals, which is conducted at Augusta National Golf Club the Sunday before the Masters Tournament and is broadcast live by Golf Channel.
